about

#newsongnovember 13 nearly escaped my grasp!

So I know I’m still a day behind and although I finished this song today, I started writing last night about a very minor instance at work where a coworker was rude to me for no reason at all and before this we had a good rapport. Although I didn’t let it bother me in the moment I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. So I wrote this. Rudeness can spread, beware.

Thank you!!
Im trying so hard to stay on schedule but I won’t stop. Thanks for your patience.

Is a one month challenge to write and share a new song everyday during November. My friend Lily DeTaeye came up with idea and this is her fourth year doing it. So please make sure you follow Lily as well. It seemed like a great exercise and I’m so excited to share it.

lyrics

-Rude Deficit-
I don’t know what’s gotten into you
But I don’t like the look I get
Look a hungry tigress stalking her target
There’s no need to have to insult my intelligence
Would a not-smart person retort with such elegance?

All you have to do is ask
‘Ya don’t gotta’ be like that

I can see you brought enough
And oh, so kind to share
Do you think I’m gonna’ sip on this
And just let it spill everywhere?
No I’ll slurp it down in front of you
Deep breath, remain calm
And a I’ll turn around with a smile on my face
And do my god-damn job

‘Cause if you’re not taking away
You’re adding to it
The Rude Deficit
