(Thanksgiving Day)
I know I’ve been absent since Thanksgiving but I’m ready to show you what I’ve been working on. I plan to release the rest of the November songs tonight. Thanks for following along, this has been a great challenge for me in many ways.

Treat it Well is about my relationship with a depressed state. I got snatched up in the clutches of something heavy and needed a way to get through it.

#newsongnovember
Is a one month challenge to write and share a new song everyday during November. My friend Lily DeTaeye came up with idea and this is her fourth year doing it. So please make sure you follow Lily as well. It seemed like a great exercise and I’m so excited to share it.

lyrics

-Treat it Well-
Look who’s back again
Dirty dishes on the floor
Clothes all over my bed
When it’s sleepin’ it snores
So I don’t feel rested
Just worry out loud
About things that haven’t happened yet
And things I can’t change now

Treat it well
Treat it like a guest or something that
Gets lonely while it’s giving you a rest
Treat it well

There’s no use in fighting it
It only makes it worse
I’ll add a log to the fire and call into work
Make a meal to counter
The malaise
Spend this uncomfortable day at a comfortable pace

Treat it well
Treat it like a guest or something that
Gets lonely while it’s giving you a rest
Treat it well...
