#NewSongNovember
Here’s song #2. A friend of mine buried her father today and I woke up with this song. He was a real easy fellow to be around and in his youth was the Kentucky state archery champion. This song is in dedication to her father, their happy relationship and his peaceful passing.
(The arrow in the picture was a gift from the lovely Jims Snowden & Jane Snowden).
#newsongnovember
Is a one month challenge to write and share a new song everyday during November. My friend Lily DeTaeye came up with idea and this is her fourth year doing it. So please make sure you follow Lily as well. It seemed like a great exercise and I’m so excited to share it.
Thank you

-Arrow-
Imagine sitting in your favorite chair
Cozy as hell as while your family prepares you
For what’s next
Well they bury my body today
But as for my soul
I’ll be riding the blue sky
Just like an arrow
That you shot at the sun
So it ain’t coming back down
And you didn’t see it hit
But you know it did
Am I really gone?
If everything I taught you gets passed on?
Am I really gone?
If everything gets passed on?
Oh, to your children
Oh, to their children
It’s like a big chain
‘Til we link again...
